In 1997, he graduated from Gibson’s Barber and Beauty College and has been a successful barber since that time.  After working in different salons, in August 2020 Pastor Jordan opened Jordan Barber Shop in Starkville.  He also attended Mississippi State School of Ministry in 2017 and is currently pursuing a bachelor of science/theology degree.
Pastor Jordan accepted his calling into the ministry on January 6, 2014 at the Mount Olivet Missionary Baptist Church where he is still a member under the leadership of Pastor Dr. James R. Covington Jr. During his time at Mount Olivet, Pastor Jordan served as the drummer and Minister of Music as well as Associate Minister. He was ordained in 2016 at Mount Olivet Missionary Baptist Church. In 2015, he also started and pastors Purpose for Praise Ministry to build disciples to labor in the Kingdom of God.
Pastor Jordan is a devoted family man which is his most significant accomplishment.  He has been married to First Lady Nartarsha (Shonn) Jordan since February 13, 1999 for 25 years and counting, serving together in love.  They have 5 children, Jalen, Deshun, Jahliyah, Jarius”Bobo”, Jasirae, and 8 grandchildren. They are also God parents of several young adults in the Starkville and MSU communities.
Pastor Jordan is an advocate for Youth Outreach in training and mentorship. In 2012-2017, he served as Youth Football Assistant Coach for the Starkville Cowboys organization and as Starkville Swish Assistant AAU Basketball Coach.
Pastor Jordan is excited to lead Josey Creek Missionary Baptist Church to a new level of praise, worship through preaching and teaching the word of God. Under his leadership, God is continuing to add to the body of Christ.
